On 17 May, Formation Zone, alongside Enterprise Nation and the City Council, hosted ‘She Means Business’ here at Plymouth University. Enterprise Nation have been touring the country as part of their partnership with Facebook to upskill thousands of women entrepreneurs in the use of Facebook and Instagram.
The event included speakers presenting their top tips in PR and peer support, highlights of Plymouth’s economic development, and a panel of female-founders answering questions about what inspired them to start their businesses and how they overcome challenges they face. Enterprise Nation also gave a great presentation on how to use Facebook and Instagram to enhance your business.
After a session full of information and inspiration, our audience and speakers got the chance to network and view some of the panellist’s amazing products from photography to digital marketing and ecological fashion design. They also got a sneak-peak of a new mobile game to encourage female entrepreneurs to start up in business, soon to be released on the Google Play Store as ‘Bizzie’.
